Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Construction Phase Plans

We fully appreciate that what you do best, might not extend to the paperwork side of things. And that’s not a bad thing. It gives you more time to focus on what you do best.

We can write your RAMS (Risk Assessments / Method Statements), and complete your CPP’s (Construction Phase Plans) for you, no matter what the size of your project is, who is involved, and whereabouts in the UK it is. We cover HSE Notifiable and Non-Notifiable projects, and we do all of the hard work for you, so you can focus on what you do best.

We will prepare your documentation based on the information you provide us (don’t worry – we’ll ask the right questions so you know what to give us) and our years of knowledge and training in the processes and requirements relating to health and safety legislation and requirements.

All documents we write will be specific to you, and your project/s. We will be sure to include all of your company details, and your logo if you wish. We will send you draft copies of your documents to read through, and make adjustments as necessary. When you are happy, we will send you the documents to sign electronically, and a copy will be emailed to you, and stored in your client portal.

COSHH Assessments, Noise Assessments and Manual Handling Assessments

We understand that sometimes, you might need that little bit more. It might be because of where you are working, who you are working for, or just what that project needs. Not to worry – we have you covered.

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations require by law that Hazardous Substances COSHH Assessments must be completed for the use and handling of all substances which are potentially hazardous to the health of any person. We are able to prepare a specific COSHH Assessment on your behalf, based on the information that you provide us. This will include the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) which contains information about how and where the product is to be used, as well as a full assessment of the substance / product, detailing what precautions should be undertaken whilst using it. Please note that separate COSHH Assessments are needed for each hazardous product used.

A Noise Assessment is to help you decide what steps you need to take to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of your employees or contractors who are exposed to noise. It is more than just taking measurements of noise – in fact that may not even be necessary. It’s all about making an accurate assessment of what you can do, what you should do, and what is reasonably achievable. We can help with that. We can provide the assessment, offer guidance and assist you in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of your team is never at risk.

Manual Handling Assessments are required more often than you may think. It’s not just for people who do heavy lifting day in day out. Of course they need it to, but in fact anyone who is involved in the moving and handling of items could be at risk of injury. There are risks in handling even light loads if the task is repetitive, causes strain or is being carried out in poor conditions. Risks can be found in all work sectors and industries, and we can help you no matter which industry you work in.

As with the RAMS and CPP documents, we can create bespoke documents tailored to your business and project needs. We’ll get all of the information from you that we need, and will write the documents to suit the requirements.

Once you are happy, we will send for signing, and email you a copy, as well as adding it to your client portal.

O&M Manuals

Sometimes when a project reaches conclusion, you might be asked to compile an O&M manual. That means Operation & Maintenance. What you are actually being asked for is a very comprehensive instruction manual, including details of everything you have done, products / services you have installed or administered, and all appropriate assessments, documentation, and contact details.

Each clients requirements will be different, but we are experienced in providing O&M manuals to some of the largest companies in the UK on behalf of our clients, so rest assured, we’ve got you covered.

Health & Safety Policies & Procedures

Remember, it’s a legal requirement for all companies with 5 or more employees to have a written health and safety policy, but even if you’re a sole trader, or have less than 5 employees, you still need to have a Health and Safety Policy by law – it just doesn’t have to be written. Furthermore your Health and Safety Policy needs to be “regularly reviewed and updated”, so if yours is more than 12 months old, legally, you must review your policy and arrangements and consider any updates that may be necessary.

We can prepare a thorough and comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and Procedures Manual, specific to your company. Your Health and Safety Policy and Procedures Manual will detail your company name, any specific personnel, your company logos etc. and the content of the document will be written to take account of the nature of the work that you do and the size of your company.

The document will be fully up to date based on UK Health and Safety Legislation and the regulations that affect your specific work industries.

Contractor SSIP accredited schemes

We have experience in helping small and medium sized contractors to gain third party safety accreditation’s such as the SSIP Accredited Assessments offered by the likes of, SafeContractor and Eurosafe etc.

These contractor assessments are often very time consuming and require those completing the assessments to have a level of health and safety knowledge which exceeds that normally needed to operate their businesses.
